Appearance:
Ocelots range in colour from light to yellow to reddish grey, with dark spots and stripes. They have dark stripes on their cheeks and their tails and rigs of dark fur.
Location:
Ocelots live in various environments from mangrove forests, coastal marshes, savannah grasslands, pastures, thorn shrub and tropical forests. all of these habitats provide areas with dense vegetative cover.
Reproduction:
Following a 79 to 85 day gestation, young are born in litters of 1 to 3. Kittens are left alone after about a year, but may stay with their mother for another year.
Threats:
Habitat loss due to agriculture, hunting for their fur and pet trading.

Ocelots are carnivores, they hunt and eat animals such rats and mice,rabbits, young deers, birds, snakes, fish and lizards but are generally to small
to attack humans. They need water to survive as well.
